The girls got ready at the Allegretto Hotel in Paso Robles and it was beautiful. The rooms had great natural light and the entire place felt very grand and open. We couldn’t shoot portraits outside the Allegretto Hotel because another wedding was happing. I actually respect that the hotel does that. It kept the outside space exclusive for the couple that booked the entire location for their wedding. With that said we walked the halls to shoot a few photos of Katie and her girls. It’s so freaking nice inside the hotel that it worked out perfectly.
The Paso Robles Horse park is not at an actual venue but it was still awesome. They don’t do weddings but when you know a guy, you know a guy! With amazing lawns and a great open space, the Horse Park makes a great backdrop for Blake and Katie’s Paso Robles wedding.
We ended up hopping on a golf cart and checking out the outer edges of the property to find trees to hide from the wind and to get in that good sunset light. There ended up being loads of great spots to shoot portraits of just the two of them. We even ventured into the storage barn and found some pops of color and cool window light. Before we did all that though the ceremony site they had set up on the lawn was super simple but still super pretty. They lined the outer edges of the space with boxed trees the moved in and it made it feel intimate while in the middle of a large perfectly manicured lawn.
