The Venue
Thousand Hills Ranch is an amazing venue for a wedding! Your guest will be greeted by a private road that takes you through the trees before the landscape opens up to a large barn and manicured lawns. Ceremonies take place under a large oak tree on the lush green grass. Your friends and family will be surrounded by hills and oak trees as your guests enjoy cocktail hour on the lawn. The barn is very spacious and airy because one side is open to the fields and rolling hills. We recommend taking a drive back to the start of the road that leads to the barn for some romantic portraits.
The Couples Day
This rainy day Thousand Hills Ranch wedding with Rachel and Jake was so fun to photograph. The rain was 50-50 all day but if finally showed up. Thousand Hills Ranch has barn space to host the ceremony as well as the reception inside with some creative planning. Jake and Rachels’s wedding planner Katie did a great job with all the changes.
Jake loves to make things himself. They did a great job of incorporating that into their Thousand Hills Ranch wedding. His vintage truck is very important to both of them so we added it into some of their photos. I had Jake drive down the long road at Thousand Hills Ranch in his truck and use it during their first look.
Portraits worked out great but that was mostly because the couple was so easy and took the weather in stride and was willing to go out into the rain for pictures. I love it when clients take the day as it comes and enjoy each other and their wedding day no matter what. I was stoked to get soaked for their night time rain photos too.
