The Walnut Grove Wedding with Peter and Nini.
The Walnut Grove Wedding was our first time to photograph the venue. We were happily surprised by how much beauty and detail were hiding off the small back road that led to the venue. The ceremony location is in the middle of an orchard with lots of green grass surrounding it. The shade from the trees will keep your family and friends comfy and the brick aisle will keep your heels out of the mud and footing sure. Our two favorite spaces at the Walnut Grove have got to be the bridal suite cottage and the reception space.
The Bridal Suite
The bridal suite is a cozy and intimate space that is perfect for small bridal parties. The large glass doors let in lots of pretty natural light and the “cabin” feel of the porch makes you feel like your in the mountains.
The reception space offers a perfect dance floor as well as an elevated seating area for the bride and groom.
Peter and Nini met in line at Starbucks. Nini was in front of Peter and she is a big Cowboys fan and Peter is a Giants fan. Peter saw her Cowboys lanyard, made a comment and the rest is history.
Peter and Nini’s Walnut Grove wedding was such a pleasure to photograph. They are both super laid back and their love for each other is expressed so naturally…which is a photographer’s dream. The theme of their wedding was “adventure” since they both love to travel. They thought about every detail and it was a really sweet personal touch. They even had a “scavenger hunt” of sorts where guests had to use a camera and take photos of a list of things they were given. I thought that was super fun! Below are some of our favorites from the day.
